The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive 2026

This will be a leisurely drive of around 2.5 hours taking in some towns, villages and country roads along with some amazing locations.

Meeting Point - Avro Museum Woodford

This is an amazing location to start the drive, so much history and all with a Vulcan bomber as a backdrop. There will be opportunity to get a picture of yourself and your classic car with the Vulcan. There is a museum will be open (entry fee will apply) The cafe will be open to get tea, coffee, snacks. Please do use the cafe as the museum has kindly donated this venue as our start point. Toilets are available onsite.

Set off at 11:00am in mass and first take a drive through some of the local towns such as, Poynton, Bramhall, Handforth, Wilmslow, and Alderley Edge before heading into the countryside.

Regroup Point - Jodrell Bank Observatory TBC

This World heritage site, provides yet another spectacular location with the World famous and mighty impressive Lovell Telescope as a backdrop. This will again provide opportunity to grab a drink and make use of toilets.

We depart in mass and make our way through Holmes Chapel, Middlewich and Winsford before arriving at our next stop.

Regroup Point - TBC

We then start the final section of the drive again departing in mass from TBC we head on through Tarporely and down the A49 to our finishing location.

Finishing Location - Cholmondley Arms

This absolutely stunning pub is set in a converted Victorian school and in lovely grounds. This really is a fitting place to end the drive and get a well deserved drink and some food, if you wish to do so. I highly recommend the food and drink here and there is also accommodation onsite if you wanted to book a stay.

Participants will be feel to mingle and chat and depart whenever they feel ready.

This promises to be a great day and I look forward to seeing some amazing cars and some dapper clothes.
