Endorse the DGD

If you do not wish to host a private club event, we encourage clubs to mark their local drive as a Club Endorsed Event. This allows your members to join their nearby drive.

Host A Drive (Public)

Your club can host a public event by applying to host its own Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. We can cater for multiple drives in a city and this will be a public drive for members and non-members to join as well, giving your club reach and presence amongst the local classic car community.

Host A Drive (Private)

If you would like to host an official drive but keep it limited to club members, you may choose to set up a private drive. Private drives are only accessible via a unique code that you can provide to your members to gain entry.

Car Club FAQ

What do I need to do to host a club drive?
We require all hosts to complete the Host A Drive form. Once complete and if it meets our criteria one of the team will send an onboarding email to our internal Drive Admin system. A dedicated Club Representative will be assigned as the main Drive Host and be our main point of contact. Once you have completed our 15 module DGD Guidelines, you will then be able to self manage all aspects of the drive. This includes adding any additional co-hosts from your club.

What is the difference between a public drive and a private drive?

Currently, all our drives are public. This means any driver around the world can join a public drive regardless of the make of the vehicle. While a lot of clubs do choose to do this and keep it in the spirit of the event to ensure it is open for any eligible vehicle to take part and raise awareness and funds for men's health some clubs may choose to keep it limited to their members. When hosting a private drive, a unique code will be generated that must be provided to your members. When the code is entered on the registration of the website it will display your private club drive.
Is there any additional information I can present to the Club Committee?
Yes, you can download our Club Information Booklet here.
Is there a fee associated to join or host a drive?
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive aims to raise as much funds as possible for Movember. Drives around the world help us reach this goal, and hosting an event is therefore there is no fee required from clubs to be involved with our event.

All hosts have access to our online platform “Drive Admin”, which enables them to connect to the participants of their drive. Our club is for cars of all ages; can all our members join the drive?

The DGD is for classic cars built 40 years or older only, to make sure the event remains a certain style. It is however a great opportunity to invite other members to join as a passenger in an eligible car to enjoy the day together. More information on vehicle eligibility can be found at https://www.gentlemansdrive.com/vehicles.
What makes a Drive a Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive?
Practically speaking, we ask from our hosts to select a start point and end point that primarily offers safe parking for all participating cars, and ideally offers facilities that add to the comfort of the participants (eg. Sanitary facilities, and availability of food and beverages). In between these points we encourage you to offer a great driving experience to those who join you, showing them the best roads you can think of.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is covered by a worldwide Global Public Liability Insurance Policy. Each registered host has access to the global insurance certificate, and the policy is managed by our brokers Arthur J Gallagher.
