Additional Information

The Drive includes one only wayside muster point, at this stage. Our second trial run is tomorrow and we should have a better understanding of the new route. We are still seeking some volunteer marshals, who aren't drivng in the event, who can be forward marshals, to guide us into the muster point at UWA and again at Masonmill Cafe and Beer Garden, where we have reserved both car parking, beer garden facilities, for our steed's safety and our pleasure. If you haven't been to Masonmill, you are going to become a fan. Did I mention that it has an Irish pub? There will be a coffee van at our start point.

It would be great if we could find a good general mechanic, who could ride shotgun with Tony the Towie, to deal with any minor breakdowns. Just a reminder that if you have a mechanical major issue, you will be moved to a safe position, where you will need to make your vehicle's own way home. We will endeavour to have you continue the Drive as passergers. Be aware that good samaritans may be required on the day to take stranded passengers. we don't want anyone to miss the fun.

We will once again have our Senior Marshall, Tony, as tail car, followed by Tony the Towie. Committee members Daryl and Liselle are once again our voluteer first aid providers. We will let you know how to contact them, should they be required. Last year I dropped the ball on recording our heroic efforts, just getting out of bed early on a Sunday mornig should inspire applause. So this year Liselle has also volunteered to be our go to person with all your photos and video clips. She will take us out to the world, both as our own presentation, while also channeling it to DGD Admin to be collated in the Oz and world presentations. Our photographers will capture us handsomely, but in my experience it's the the miriad of other shots taken from so many other aspects that go to padding a great presentation. If it looks awesome to you, share it with us. We'll letb you know how soon.

Don't forget to post your preparation to the DGD Favebook page

We are still planning madly, as your committee and may change aspects of the Drive as we head into the last two weeks.

WE hope that soon you can download the Drive to your phones to keep you on track.

We have designed a windscreen label, which is currently at printers. We hope to have a Sticker for each participant, to go on your steed, somewhere prominent, so our audience know who and what we are. Make sure you have a clean screen, or in the case of vissualy chalenged, low windscreen cars, across the bonnet, if you would like one. the will be available on the morning, for a small donation to the cause. Another fact we will deliver as soon as we have this from our printer.

Please log in occassionaly for further updates.
