Welcome to the Winchester & South Downs, Distinguished Gentleman's Drive 2024!

This year will be the 3rd year for our local event, and we will be running with new venues and route, to hopefully make it the best yet. We will be finishing at Goodwood Motor Circuit, where we will meet 4 other drives, and culminate in a parade lap around the estemeed historic Circuit!

The aim is to get a friendly bunch of people together over the passion of classic cars, and have a nice social morning out around some of the best venues and cruising roads the area has to offer. Please don't be put off by the name, this event is open to all, so feel free to bring partners, children, friends and even dogs.

We will start from the newly opened Hampshire Pantry in Winchester. A new cafe and farm shop with on site coffee roastery, on a beautiful farm setting. They will be opening from 08:30 to serve coffee and breakfast, whilst we have a chat and peruse the cars.

At 09:30 we will depart and take a leisurely drive through some A and B roads winding into the South Downs.

We will regroup at Cowdray Farm Shop around 11, for a half hour stop, where there will be chance to grab coffee and use the toilets.

Then we will continue along the A272 and do a lap around the beautiful market town of Petworth and drop down the A285 and into the Goodwood Estate.

At Goodwood Circuit, we will be meeting 3-4 other drives from different areas. We have exclusive use of the Paddock area and will culminate in a parade lap around the circuit. There should be multiple photographers in place to capture your pride and joy on the historic circuit.

Goodwood are opening food and drink concessions for us, so there should be good food and drink options on hand close to the Paddock. If you want to make a day of it and have more of a sit down lunch, The Farmer, Butcher, Chef is an excellent choice.

There are also plenty of good pubs as you head back through the South Downs on your journey home.
