Greetings Distinguished Gentlefolk,
Welcome to the 2024 Distinguished Gentleman's Drive! This event is a great way to raise funds for a worthy cause, and is a really fun day to boot! It's really great to see all of your classic cars out on the road every year.
Over the past 2 years, the St Louis Metro (formerly Belleville, IL) Drive has raised over $30,000 for our charity partner, Movember USA. With Drives in 60 Countries, and 173 cities around the world, Your participation will help save men's lives, and for that we thank you.
The doors to Gateway Classic Cars will be open by 7am for us to gather, chat, enjoy the cars, and prep for the drive. Gateway Classic Cars is located at 1237 Central Park Dr, O'Fallon, IL 62269. Facilities will be available on-site.
The route is approximately 200 mile loop returning to Swansea, IL. For the start North on 159, through Edwardsville, on to Route 66, Carlinville, Doc's Just off 66 in Girard, IL for a sponsored lunch and awards, and prizes. Time permitting we we continue to Soulsby's before returning to Swansea Park/Fletchers for the wrap up.
Please dress dapper! A professional photographer/videographer is documenting our journey for an upcoming video.
Please ensure that you arrive with your vehicle fuelled up and roadworthy. We will have a support vehicle with trailer following our drive for any issues, Registered drivers are welcome to drive all or part of the route.
Passengers are welcome! Invite them to join you for the day, and they can register as a passenger in your vehicle to join in on the fundraising as well.
Gateway Classic Cars, Wrench Coffee, and West End Station have generously volunteered their time, adjusted hours and opened up early for us. Please be sure to thank them and if possible purchase some merch or coffee to help the efforts!
Please refer to the Vehicle Eligibility and Dapper Guide under the About DGD menu at the top of the page. Taking part in your Sunday Best is part of the fun of the event. If you have any questions about the day, the theme, or vehicle qualifications, please contact Joe by clicking "contact drive host" on the Drive Details page of your profile on www.gentlemansdrive.com or directly via email at joe.karban@gmail.com.
We can't wait to see you all on September 29th!
