The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is now just ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ away, and I have ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐๐ very important announcements to share! Item 1: As of this morning, with the help of so many of you, we have ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ ๐จ๐๐ฅ ... ๐จ๐ $๐๐๐๐! This means that with just a few days left to go, Team Craig is presently the #๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐๐ฌ and #๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐! There is also still a chance we could overtake that gentleman in Australia. Item 2: Valerie & I plan to make one final contribution to the cause, choosing to put our money where my mouth is. I made an initial seed donation back in August, but a number of you surpassed that amount. This Saturday, we will match the ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง to my drive at that time. The current frontrunner is Jennifer Johnson Baskerville with her most generous gift in memory of Victor โ thanks, Jen! This means that if one or more of you would equal or exceed Jen's gift, and Val & I donate the matching amount, that man from the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ may see us looming quite large in his rear view mirror. Also in that mirror, he would see ... Item 3: Kate Nebel , my car adventure buddy and partner in (fighting) crime, has signed on to ride with me for Sunday's adventure. I am honored that Kate was able to free up a valuable Sunday off to join me for this epic drive, as we honor the memory of our friend Vic.

I finally made my first Facebook post about the upcoming drive last night. I want to send my profound thanks out to Jennifer Johnson Baskerville for supporting my idea of dedicating this drive to the memory of her husband Victor. Her support โ and her sharing of my journey with her Facebook circle โ has helped jump start my fundraising dramatically in just one day. Thank you, Jen!

Getting behind the wheel for The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive
On Sunday, September 27th, 2026, I plan to once again to be a part of the Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. This will be the fourth year in a row I will be participating. [And yes, despite their name, they somehow still let me be a part of it.] The DGD is an annual event, and involves hundreds of different groups in cities all around the world on the same day. The drive raises funds and awareness for men's health issues. All participating vehicles must be at least forty years old, and drivers (and passengers) are encouraged to "dress dapper" and/or dress in period appropriate attire. We are less than ten weeks out from the 2026 drive. I will once again be driving with the Leesburg, Virginia group. The Leesburg drive had one of the largest turnouts in the world in 2025. Last year, there were over sixty countries participating.
